Just thought i'd throw in the name of Ed Marlo. He invented many, many sleights and effects. He has got to be one of the best card magicians ever in my opinion.

I do enjoy looking at his work. Many of the concepts and sleights that he worked on are really amazing, and I use them a ton. I don't know how good of a performer he was, though he certainly was a fabulous technician.

On a side note, do you have his Expert Card Technique book? I've heard it's good, though I haven't picked it up yet...
