What do you all think about a section that deals with everything outside of magic? I know this is a magic forum but sometimes I'd like to share things that aren't related to magic or card magic. What are your thoughts Tim?

What do you mean, everything outside of magic? Could you elaborate on this please?

I think he means more of a "chitchat" forum. Not sure though.

I have noticed that there have been less posts lately, which does make it a little less interesting. Though there is still some great information that gets posted every now and then.

Something social perhaps How ya doin? I know this isn't meant to be a huge every subject chitchat like Inthe00s or anything like that, but I just don't feel like this is a friendly place. I feel like this is an I want your money place.

Yes I did mean a discuss anything section. I don't agree with the fact that this is a "I want your money place". If Tim wanted to just make money he wouldn't take the time to talk to us and load the website down with ads.

I'm confused I'm not sure I'm getting what you are saying about load down with ads. I don't think I am doing it wrong the way I am learning magic, and I don't think Tim is going to solve all my problems. Thats what I get from reading whats right on the front page. You know I've felt like this for a while and even thought about Kipp. This might be my last post here and if so bye.

Ok, the discuss anything section sounds pretty cool to me. Docbrand, great idea. I also disagree strongly that this is an "I want your money place". Like docbrand said, if it was, Tim wouldn't talk to us and fill the website with all sorts of ads. And the website isn't telling you what you're doing wrong, it's more of a "I want to help you" place, despite maybe a little confusing wording. And also, Kipp gave GREAT advice in my opinion, and he helped me improve by a wide margin. Too bad he didn't stick around. Tim also did the same thing. He gives us misdirection tips, leads to talk about magic, presentation tips, and this website was to continue this.
Also, I can't help but be a little confused when in other posts, along with others, you talked about wanting to get Elite-Membership... why would you pay for a site that you obviously don't think highly of? Anyways, I see no reason to quit, but there's nothing I can do to stop it.

I think that a lot of people are forgetting that Tim David is a business man as well as a magician. He offers things for free as well as things you buy.
Tim has to incur all the costs of all the websites he's ever put up. He has to pay people to make these websites and than pay the monthly fee. He has to generate income somehow to pay for this stuff. He also has a family to support.
People like Kipp and Wild are nothing more than people who just want something for free. They lack the fortitude and strength of vision it takes to be successful.
Not everyone is going to agree with Tim and how he does things but they can at least respect the fact that he's the ONLY one putting something out there. It's very easy to be a critic when you're unwilling to take any risk of your own.
I think it would be nice if everyone remembers that Tim wants a civil forum and discussion area. I think it would be great if people also thought before they put their post up with a bunch of nonsense and bashing with no backing other then they just want to complain.

Yeah... docbrand said it well. Sorry, I came off as a little strong myself. Tim does have a family to support, and docbrand can relate to this. Let's just continue on.

So is Docbrand assuming I want something for free? I know websites cost money and people have families to support. I'm just not sure some of the wording right at the frount is the best way to advertise. I don't think Tim is evil and he probably can teach me something.

I probably should have started a seprate thread Mentioning how some of his wording may be bothersome to some and keep them from wanting to come here. I do get people misunderstanding me. There is a difference between feeling and fact and I said feel. Let me know if you think I'm just whinning because I'm only trying to help.

I'm not here to argue, it's not worth my time. I have more important things to be doing but since you've made three posts on this topic I'll clear up what might be confusing you.
You lead one to believe in your post that you agree with what Kipp said to Tim on the front page. Kipp's post was rude, and downright mean. Kipp accused Tim of being a money hog. By referring to him and the rest of your post I believed you felt the same as him.
Yes I did take it as whining and that bugs me a lot. Don't come on someone's forums who's offering you help for free and whine that something they're selling is too much. In closing what you say and feel is your business but don't share it with the rest of us if it's just going to sound like whining.

Kipp was mean, and probably acted on anger. It was unnecessary but there's nothing to be done now. By agreeing with what he did you put yourself on a lower position, wildcard. Docbrand said it well - Nobody likes a whiner, and it is ok to express your opinion, as long as you keep it under control and don't bother others with it.
