Ok so my brother and I are trying to put together a magic show to perform over the summer, we want to do birthday parties and such mostly kids shows. We have a fair amount of prop magic that we can work into the act and im in the midst of building an escape box i designed. But what im looking for is suggestions of card tricks that could be worked into a show easily

For children, flashy showy tricks work the best. This is why card tricks have a tendancy to not work for them. If you must use card tricks, go for more of vanishes. Stay away (unless they are ages 9 and up) from ALL pick-a-card tricks.

well if its a stage show first you need one of those big decks of cards but card tricks for a stage show are hard

torn and restored newpaper.. some visual magic..vanishing or appearing something. for kids, they are so sensitive to colour, do some magic related to colour changing..of coz not cards. if you want to perform card magic, yes you can, but, you can only perform levitation, card happening..or card manipulation(unlimited production of card)

I think kids would love card production. If you've seen Jeff McBride do it, it's stunning to watch. If you can master even part of this, I think kids would love it. Spongeballs are also great.

I find that kids under the age of around 6 or 7 find card tricks boring or hard to follow.
